Rumi was trained as a theologian and Muslim jurisprudence but later became a mystical poet after meeting his mentor Shams in 1244.
Shams influenced Rumi to ignore learned knowledge and seek actual knowledge by accessing heart wisdom.
Man needs to destroy the ego for the spiritual body to grow, become perfect, and join the source where he can reach heart wisdom to attain true knowledge through intuition.
Heart intelligence or heart wisdom is actual knowledge that is already inside you. Enlightened is the access to the heart intelligence. Once you remove ego, you connect with your divinity within, duality disappears, and you become enlightened and get access to heart wisdom and true knowledge.
Mystical union is when the I disappear, and the man connects with his divinity and becomes one. This unity with God allows you to access heart intelligence, the only reality, and real knowledge.
Rumi conveyed his thoughts mainly through poems, many of which speak to infinite tolerance, Love, and compassion.
I am in you,
I am you.
You don’t know this,
Until you lose your mind.
