Based on Sufism, humans compromised on four central parts
1-Physical body that holds the Ruh, spirit
2-Nafs, self, ego, psyche
3-Qalb, spiritual heart
The relationship between Nafs, Qalb, and Ruh Forms the basis of Sufism philosophy and its literature
To reach spiritual advancement, the Nafs must be controlled.
Ego, greed, malice, envy, jealousy, and lust originate from the Nafs
Wisdom and intelligence reside in the spiritual heart, the source of our intuition. The spirit is in our Qalb. The Qalb guides us on a spiritual journey to connect with our divinity.
Rumi and other Sufi believe that the Ruh is a part of divine energy within us. Reaching to a higher self means connecting with divine power where wisdom and happiness are accessible to us. Our unhappiness in life results from not being able to connect with divine energy within.
It is stated in the Quran that “I have shaped human beings and breathed my spirit into a human being.”
So all humans have God’s kingdom within, as mentioned in the Quran and the Bible. The Qalb, or our heart, is the start point of the journey to connect with our divine energy within. For the heart to start on this journey, it must deplete itself from ego, jealousy, hate, resentment, and fear, for love to grow inside the heart. Love is the only fuel that helps us continue our journey to connect with d
Divinity within that God breathed into us with the first breath at birth.
Rumi’s words help us realize all the power and beauty inside us.
“Do not feel lonely; the entire universe is inside you.”
“You are a part of the divine world
A mirror to the power that created the universe
